It doesn't take much for me to remember my dream, what I want to dedicate my life to. And when its late at night, and I read about a band that made it by chance... I remember my vision. I used to want to be "a rock star" where it was about the popularity. Though this may sound contradictory, that is not the priority anymore. Though I want to be signed and support myself/(wife of future), I want to be a part of creating music that is genuinely good. I think that is one reason OEO has decided to shift styles. We realized that we were fighting for mediocrity (or that is how I felt). I want to play the road, live out of a van knowing it will be the most difficult thing I will probably do in this life. I want to get a love for fans, not because they love us or me, but that they love the music we have been gifted enough to create. And I want God to be glorified throughout the entire process. I do not believe that this is entirely a selfish desire, although it very easily can mutate into one.
And this is where I relax knowing God has a plan far more complex than mine at 1:30 on a Friday night.

I don't know.

So its been an interesting day. Last night I had a pretty good fever, Danielle and I watched cartoons in the eagles nest for an hour and a half, I fell asleep and probably spoke about 15 words the entire time we were there. I took an insanely hot shower which helped some then Shelly and I watched Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, which just made the night better. Ok, people have wierd dreams. Last night I drempt that for individual people types, there were better ways or methods to sleep/rest the body, just like different people have different blood types. Long story short, I slept poorly because I was trying to optimize my sleep because of my screwed up dream. Tonight I am going to try a completely trivial way of resting. I am going to shut my eyes and lay in bed.

I have been drinking a lot of tea of late. America needs to drink more tea.

smiles all around

Wow,

it has been quite the week, I am now officially a sophomore in college, since I finished my jury from last semester. My shoulder doesnt even hurt anymore, except for the slight numbness in certain aress in my right arm (which dont count). The jury went well, I answered all of Mr. Borrmann's questions that I needed to, and neither he or Dr. Isensee wanted scales which is always a plus. This morning, OEO played for class chapel. This was just such a sincere blessing because so many people from other classes ended up coming to support us and our new friend Trip Lee. Tom Allen speaking just made the soph. class chapel more irrestistible. God blessed it immensely. Our sound check was awful last night, which was a few factors including difficulty with our sound, and the multitude that showed up. This made things difficult for us to focus on, and we have enough trouble with that as it is. Anyway, we decided to scrap it since it was so late, woke up early this morning and ran our set. God's blessing was all over it and it went fantasically. We have received so many compliments...none of which I can take credit for.
Aaaannd, I am writing this post on my new macbook, which is phenomenal. I love it and I havent even owned it 24 hours. Something between the built in icam, all the widgets stuff (which are so handy), the media remote control, or just the entire layout of OSX has made me a complete believer in these computers. But I like how not many people use them, so hopefully we can keep them virus free. Anyway, back to work (@ the orchestra concert) and off to Danielle's tomorrow. Sigh, I love weekends.
